Marriage proposal stories

I proposed to my fiance at a Dave Matthews Band concert. Even I didn't know I was going to do it...especially being the girl and all! = ) He stared at me for a second (and I think my heart stopped) and then said "Absolutely" and kissed me. Then he said absolutely 20 times over. = ) As it turns out, he was planning on proposing to me later that week...I just beat him to it! Since it wasn't well planned, we're going to do a more "traditional" proposal in December when he gets home, (he's in the Coast Gaurd), complete with a ring this time. I'm going to surprise him with an engagement ring for him too! (After all, I was the one who asked!)

Okay this is from a guy's perspective. I proposed to my girlfriend when she least expected it. The surprise factor brought tears to her eyes and it was truly a night to remember. It wasn't anything fancy, I took her out to her favorite restaurant and as it was near her birthday anyway she thought it was just a birthday celebration. I popped the question and she just burst into tears. Somehow she managed to say yes through all the tears. No bravado just be yourself. Hard to do but it works.

i took her to dinner then we went to the park. after dark. the i was walkign her home then on her door step i asked her to marry me. she said YES!! it was so good to get it off my chest. i love her tho. we are living a good life in RoseVille MI
